poly fest learning story

ON Thursday night we went to hosana hall to do some items for poly fest. When I took my first

Step onto the stage I was really scared but just like what my family said to me if you are scared just step up and be very humble. So when our dance started I had butterfly's it felt like they were having a party inside of me. At the end of our polyfest my family told me to give myself a pat on the back. My dad said that he was really proud of me. When I left with my family we all left with a smile on our face.

This year  I have been improving my inquiry learning by sharing my ideas with my inquiry group. We have been learning like a team by working together and  sharing our ideas. My group is a very good group because we have achieving the learning goals we set. We have been making up some brilliant games we know that people will like . We made up a game named mini polo touch. It is a very fast game because once you get touched 3 times you have to hand the ball over . It is just like touch but the game goes a little bit faster. Our other game we made up is Parkour Obstacle Tag.

This year I have been put into gardening club.

I really like it because i like going out to the garden

to help out with diana and the group. Sometimes we have to lift really heavy things like heavy and really stinky compost. Today the 1 of November we were planting new trees and plants. It was hard for me because there was lot’s of bark to move and we only had 2 wiheelbarrows  and 5 spades . Even though it was hard and the sun was really hot I kept going and didn’t give up.

In 2017 I have been sitting next to really good role models like Christian and Rico. When I sit next to them they are really good leaders who help me to stay on task all the time and finish my learning.

In my class I am responsible for the sports gear. I like to make sure all the sports gear comes back to room Tukana and make sure we respect it and it doesn’t get broken. My other job is the fruit bucket. I have to get the fruit bucket in time so

the class can eat fruit at lunch and morning tea.

I also look after the secret garden. I have to make sure that the garden is nice and clean for other people.

i am good at working in a group because I can Share my ideas with my buddies in my group. And when it is time for My group to explain their ideas we all help to each other to report what we learnt.

The Key Competency I use the most to support my learning is Thinking: because I use my brain  understand other people's ideas.  I also use what I already know about things to help me learn more. I also like reading because this helps me learn more things too.

                                                   

I have been achieving lot’s of awards this year.  My first award was from flag, Igot 3 awards.  Then I got a Principal Award for being a motivated person in my inquiry with my group.  I felt happy and my mum was proud of me.

Next year when am a year 7. It is going to be very difficult for me but I am going to take a risk and go for it. I am going to be a leader and a role model. I’m going to set goals and use my key competency skills to achieve my goals.

Learning Story.

I was good at telling my reader what the characters are by using words like eating and I'm going.I got better at using the right type of words for the person. I made the workers talk like they're on their break. It was kind of hard for my reader to know where my characters were because it looks like they were on a roof of a tower.I Need to work on giving information about why they are at that place.

the key competency I was good a was making meaning because I was good at making sense.

and I have to work on managing self because I need to sit next to right people I know will help me get my learning finished.

poly club.

in poly club we learn all sorts of dances we do like Samoan dance or like a cook island or Tuvalu dances.

our teacher is Nash. poly club is on every Monday after lunch we have this song named to fisherman and this Tokelau song I forgot the name. poly club and poly fest is just the same.it is like a dance crow that dances for like Culter. or we do like  Islander hackers like the Samoa haka or the NZ or cook island haka.

on the Samoa language day the year 8-7 did a haka a Samoa one.  

and the girls did a Samoa dance because Pina is the teacher of the Samoa girls poly club.

and then the girls and the boys done a dance all together it was a really cool dance.

I was in the dance to but not in the haka because I was not a year 7 or 8.

and that is what we do in poly club

this problem is telling us how out of Philomena and June that can hop skip jump the farthest Philomena reckons she can jump the farthest because she has got a faster run up. and June bets that she can jump the farthest because she has got longer legs than Philomena.

P.E learnig story

IN p.e we have been learning how to play new sports. we all had to play new sports. we all had to help our team to communicate with others and share the ball. before you do something you have to see if your whole team will agree with what you are going to do. but you have to listen to your team. if you don't they wold get angry with you. sometimes you have to take a risk and have a go. if it is your first time playing a new sport

shud just go for it and take a risk and you will be so proud of yourself. or you can think of a really good strategy. and your team will be so so happy with you. and you will be happy with yourself.   To play some new sports We all had to help our team to communicate with others and share the ball.

Before you do something you have to think if your team will agree with it or they don't agree with it.

But you have to listen or your team

Will get angry at you.

Sometimes you have to take a risk and have a go.

Or some of your teammates get angry and sad.You can use whatever is in mind

at the Robbie fruen sheld. the first school we vs was tairangi we won. we won the rest of the games except the semi-final we lost to ranikura. we were proud that we made it this far in the tournament

some people were sad but most of them we happy when I got home I told my family that we won every game except the semi-final. she said atleast yous made it to the final. and they were really proud of me.

this year we had flag our coach was Jae is mum. we lost like 3 games and won4 and came 3 place in the whole flag. we were a good team we were helping each other to take a risk and just have a go with the ball at runing. and the people that have never played flag they got good to really good. and we said to our team when you do a mistake you can always learn from your mistake. and my team always love to have lots and lots of fun. 

and that's what my team does to help others.

As I take my first step I could see thousands and thousands of people. with their dogs and cats and i cold see some amazing food that people made.i could hear people lathing and I coldI could hear people laughing and I could hear them munching 2on their delicious food from these caravans. I can taste sweet apples in my mouth and salty hot chips in my rumbling tummy. I could smell really yummy food from the caravan. I can taste sweet apples in my mouth and salty hot chips in my rumbling tummy. I could feel the nice warm hot fresh air flowing onto my face. When I got there I was so happy it wasn't just me that was happy it was my whole family that was happy.

Did you know that I am so good at flag and That is one of my favorite sport. my name is LUKA and I am 10years old. my name is so special To me because I am named after my dad. I love my family being around me because they are special to me too. my dad inspierd me to play rugby and flag. my dreams are to be a rugby player. my hobbies are to draw stuff I see. in my family I have 8 sisters and 2 brothers the oldest in my
family is 27 years old. I am allways happy when I go to school. and tha is who I am.

In my art I used  bold lines to make my art stand out. I didn't care if it looks ugly that is how you do cubism art, you need to also show your own style. I chose the colour blue for the eyes because its a nice bright colour. I chose to do these Samoa patterns so they know what culture I am. I just took a risk and had a go at doing it. I was good at drawing the Samoan patterns to communicate my culture. it was hard to the
